The 2010 VW Funfest was a Huge Success!
We welcomed more than 850 VW’s and 7,000 people over our two day event. The weekend was filled with so many fun activities and we think it’s safe to say that good times were had by all. We hope that you enjoyed the weekend as much as we did, and hope that you carry the memories of VW Funfest 2010 with you for a lifetime!
Now We’re Ready for VW Funfest 2011!
Mid America Motorworks will host the 13th Annual Funfest at its corporate campus in Effingham, IL on June 3-5, 2011. Get ready for a fun filled weekend of events and activities including a road tour on both Friday & Saturday evenings, technical seminars, Swap Meet, Volkswagen Auction on Saturday afternoon, and Exhaust & Burnout War Competitions.

Platinum Bug Award
The Platinum Bug Award is a life-time achievement award presented annually to individuals who have shown long-term dedication to the preservation and promotion of the Classic Volkswagen hobby for future generations. Pictured left are our 2010 winners Bruce Simurda (top) and Nick Little (bottom). Congratualtions to you both and we look forward to seeing you at next year’s show!

Passing On The Passion
Since Funfest for Air-Cooled VW and Father’s Day are both in June, the past few years we have made a special recognition to a Father/Son or Father/Daughter that share the VW Passion together. This award is near and dear to our heart, as we have now made it a dedication to one particular man who shared this passion with his son. Ron Milnor and his son, Darby Milnor, won this award in 2009. Sadly, Ron passed away earlier this year and it had been one of his last wishes to attend VW Funfest one last time. So, it is our true honor that we dedicate this award to him. Thank you both for attending our event and sharing your passion with us.
