This year, we've got the exciting Extreme Wraparound obstacle course, where kids can test their skills and endurance, and even slide down a giant slide! Plus, we'll have Paint the Bus, sack races, tie-dye stations, and a kid's scavenger hunt! These kid-friendly activities will keep you and your family entertained.

This year, we're throwing an unforgettable celebration to honor the 20th anniversary of the beloved movie Herbie: Fully Loaded. After wrapping up the show at Mid America Motorworks, we'll hit the road at 5:30 pm, cruising into Downtown Effingham for a fun-filled movie night. Explore local attractions, enjoy popular restaurants, and join the community for the screening at 8:30 pm. Herbie can't wait to see everyone. It's the perfect way to cap off an action-packed weekend!

Fun Run was created to provide an amazing experience for all our Volkswagen enthusiasts to cruise together. This year, we invite you to join us on June 20 at 4:30pm as we drive through the scenic country roads and head out to Pinky's, a local favorite located on the beautiful Lake Sara. Pinky's has been voted as the #1 outdoor dining venue in Effingham, IL. It will be the perfect place to relax and enjoy great food with fellow VW lovers.

3.12.2025Camping at Funfest 2025

Arrive early, explore Effingham, and make the most of the Funfest for Air-Cooled VW weekend with our FREE on-site camping! Campers can start arriving as early as the night before Friday, June 20 at 5pm.

We offer minimal overnight security, lighting at night and Porta Potties for campers.

Fires are prohibited on Mid America Motorworks grounds, showers are not available, and we are unable to provide electrical access to campers.
